About the show

Unicorn City is a musical comedy about evil unicorns. In more detail, it’s about Aathenaar, a particularly ramshackle medieval town. Aathenaar’s baron is a petty tyrant, but he at least has vision: build a tourism industry around a number of unicorns that he has managed to capture. The unicorns, however, don’t particularly appreciate this plan. Neither does Zeb, the baron’s stableboy, who only gets to know the unicorns from the wrong end, or Wajida, the witch exiled by the baron as “wicked” years ago after an unhappy teenage romance. They–plus Wajida’s naive young ward, a destitute but cheerful peasant, and a traveling bard more interested in tail than tales–are about to discover just how needlessly violent a herd of unicorns can be.

Unicorn City was written by Greg Landgraf and will be directed by Joe Lewis of Elephant and Worm Educational Theater Company.
